HIV Drug Resistance Feature

When the AIDS virus, HIV, starts resisting the drugs that try to kill it and give the patient more years to live, then there is a massive problem.

In a research carried out in three districts, Kampla, Fortportal and Mbale by Pharm Access Foundation from Netherlands and Uganda's Joint clinical Research Centre, it has been discovered that one in every eight people in the three districts has HIV drug resistance. Drug stock outs and patients' laziness in taking their drugs, have been highlighted as the main cause.
