JCRC Clinical Services

Under the clinical services directorate, there are several departments and sections that include general clinical care services, HIV & PMTCT / EMTCT services, TB care services, counselling services,  family planning, as well as the in-patient & advanced care services with a 120 bed in-patient ward. At present, there are 19, 867 patients receiving care at JCRC annually. This includes 10,532 women, 7,080 men and 2,255 children.

JCRC also opened up a fully fledged dental clinic which is well equiped and has a highly qualified full-time dental surgeon on site. A cardiac clinic has also been established at the centre with capabilities to do Echocardigraphy and electrocardiography to support both the in-patient and out-patient departments as well as the research studies that do require these investigations at enrollment and during follow-up.

Care and Treatment: By Sep 2010, JCRC has cumulatively provided HIV treatment more than 110,000 clients in Uganda. JCRC clinics offer advanced pediatric and Adult HIV/AIDS care, with a comprehensive range of services, including tuberculosis management, Nutrition support, special clinics for young people, adherence, psychosocial support and outreaches.
